Hiking Opportunities in Fairfield Glade
You have many choices
There are over 20 miles of natural surface trails plus 8 miles of paved sidewalks in Fairfield Glade and you can explore on your own using maps and description downloaded here. If you prefer you can hike in a group with an experienced guide where you are welcome regardless of your experience or fitness level.
Joining a Guided Tuesday Hike
Every Tuesday morning you are welcome to join about 12 to 25 other friendly hikers on a hike on one or more of the well maintained trails in Fairfield Glade. We usually hike about 2 to 3.5 miles, but occasionally we may hike a little bit longer.

Joining a Guided Thursday Paved Walk
Every Thursday morning you are welcome to join about 6 to12 other friendly hikers on a walk on one or more of the network of paved trails in central Fairfield Glade. We usually hike about 1 to 3 miles, but occasionally we may hike a little bit longer.
We walk through golf courses on paved golf cart paths when the courses are closed in the winter and we walk paved central trails the rest of the year.

Guiding Yourselves Around the Trails
Most hikes are on wooded trails, not paved walking paths, so hiking boots are strongly recommended. Sneakers are OK too, but no flip flops! Always carry plenty of water; especially if it is a hot day. Spray yourself with insect repellent to keep away bugs, ticks, etc. Don’t forget your favorite hiking stick.
All our trails are well maintained by Fairfield Glade’s voluntary Trail Crew.

Every Friday morning you are welcome to join about 12 to 25 other friendly hikers on a hike on one or more of the trails outside of Fairfield Glade in the surrounding area. We usually hike about 3 to 9 miles, but occasionally we may hike a little bit longer.
